Why We Walk
As we focus on Breast Cancer Awareness month, STT understands the impact on our communities. The National Institute of Health’s Office of Research on Women’s Health published a brochure indicating that Cancer is the second leading cause of death for black women, who are more likely than other women to die from breast and cervical cancers. This is usually because abnormal cells or tumors are found at a later, more advanced stage.
